Arizona Ash

"This is my favorite shade tree! I've had two arizona ash trees in my front yard for 5 years now, and they've grown so well, MOON JUICE for president! That stuff works better than I could've imagined. Anyway... these trees are wonderful. The shade they give my home helps keep it very cool in the summer, but the secret tip here is that after you get all your beautiful GOLDEN fall leaves, the tree goes bare. Now... you might be saying, "harriet, I don't want a bare tree, why is that good?" Well let me tell ya! I've lived in Arizona for over 30 years. It gets COLD in the winters, the dry climate makes things very cold. there's no humidity to hold the heat. so having a few shade trees that lose their leaves in the winter allows some sun to get to my home in the winter, which keeps my house a bit warmer in the winter! It's like natural insulation! shade in the summer, warmth in the winter, and that gorgeous fall color! I love these trees!"

"I like my Arizona Ash. They get a nice fall color that reminds me of my childhood home back East. The shade is excellent in the summer as well. my only complaint is that the leaves don't come back quite as fast as i'd like them to. I also own a majestic ash and the leaves on that come back much faster. This has a much better fall color though. Moon Valley Nurseries is great though. No complaints about them. They are very helpful and explain things very well. I just wish the leaves came back a little quicker. "
