Buddha's Hand, Citrus medica var. sarcodactylis, may very well be one of the most unusual-looking fruits you'll ever encounter! Native to northwestern India, it's also called Fingered citron, and it indeed does look much like a hand with fingers, fingers that can be used to make candied citrus peel for an oh-so-tasty treat! Besides bearing very aromatic fruit, these small trees can enhance the look of any landscape and is sure to get your yard noticed for all the right reasons, especially when it's covered in fruit!
The showy flowers of the Buddha's Hand plant are also beautiful and aromatic, so we like to plant them near windows to let the exquisite fragrance fill rooms in the home! These low-maintenance trees thrive in a location that receives plenty of full sun exposure, so plant them in a sunny spot so that you can enjoy the view! Once established, they will have low to moderate watering needs. Use them as an air freshener or as an ornamental feature in your landscape!
