The small to medium shrub produces dark red, brushy flowers during the spring and summer months. Versatile, hardy and colorful, the Little John is a popular accent plant used in many types of landscapes. Little John’s can make a nice informal hedge, accent to a desert yard, or planted in mass over large areas.

Little John Bottlebrush shrubs thrive in a variety of soil conditions and love the summer heat. They do well when they are planted in an area of your yard that offers them full sun exposure. In the first year, Little John’s might need a bit more water but require less of it after the first year, once established.
