Majesty Palm

The Majesty Palm, native to Madagascar and loved by many as an indoor houseplant, is slow to moderate growing palm that can grow to be a medium sized palm that looks great alone on the lawn or under a canopy of taller trees! Many people call them by their botanical name, Ravenea rivularis, and their attractive, tall upward-arching green foliage will add a touch of the tropics whether used indoors or out! Palm trees and backyard retreats go hand in hand. A large and majestic Majesty Palm will bring a sense of calm to any surrounding and looks incredible near the pool area, patio, or in an Asian/Zen garden. If you think Majesty Palm care is complicated, you will be happy to know that these low-maintenance plants do not require a green thumb. They like the shade and can easily adjust to a variety of light conditions. Though they grow along rivers in their native habitat, they do not like to sit in water.
