Mexican Bush Sage (Salvia leucantha)
Medium sized perennial shrub blooms from late spring through fall. Hummingbirds are attracted to tall spikes lined with purple trumpet flowers. Very good companion plant for mixed beds and gardens.
A hard freeze may cause some die back of the stems, not to worry! Shear them to the ground and Mexican Bush Sage is eager to grow back quickly into a full bush and will produce lots of flowers!
Beautiful spikes of purple flowers
Summer months present long pointed spikes of blue/purple blooms
