This tall evergreen shrub's popularity here in the Valley is due to its colorful purple foliage and tall nature. Purple Hopseed are great when allowed to grow large as a narrow hedge or screen and can also be kept trimmed and used as an accent in a desert or sub-tropical settings. Provide good drainage and infrequent deep watering after established for healthiest plants and the strongest color.
