The Squid Agave sometimes known as the spider agave is a native from Mexico that is well adapted to our tough western soils and watering habits. Squid Agave has long green leaves that can reach up to 24 inches long. These plants form a larger trunk when mature and can reach 2-3' tall. These succulents are considered to be a fire-wise landscape choiceĀ well suited for bothĀ tropical and desert gardens.
These plants look similar to their cousins the Octopus Agave byĀ the way their leaves curl and produce a similar white-yellow bloom that covers the upper third of the plant. Visit your nearest Moon Valley Nurseries to view our vast succulent inventory and allow one of our experts to help you select the best plants for your landscape.
"We recently converted to a low water desert landscape and purchased a few of these to mix in. They are so interesting and give such a different look and feel to your yard. They look almost tropical but take hardly any water. We're very happy with these succulents from Moon Valley Nurserery."
