The Crape Myrtle trees grown at Moon Valley Nurseries are superior thanks to mildew resistance. As a US National Arboretum introduction, our custom-grown, mildew-resistant Crape Myrtle Lagerstroemia offers year-round interest and beauty.

Drought tolerant, Crape Myrtle craves the heat and will bloom with large clusters of delicate flowers. When the hot weather arrives, expect late spring and summer colors to decorate your landscape with shades of red, white, purple, and pink. Crape Myrtle Lagerstroemia is just as colorful in the fall as it is in the summer, in fact, these are one of the best trees with fall color.

Autumn colors such as golden, bright yellow, orange, and red are sure to complement any yard and landscape. This small-to-medium-sized deciduous tree looks good even after the fall foliage has fallen, revealing a handsome outline and smooth, spotted gray to light brown bark that may shed to reveal a pinkish, inner bark. Use landscape lighting to highlight the beautiful multi-trunk structure.

The cold-hardy Crape Myrtle prefers full sun, though it handles partial shade as well. A longtime favorite plant for use in many landscape styles, Crape Myrtle grows at a slow to moderate growth rate up to 15-feet high, spreading up to 8 to 12 feet.

Moon Valley Nurseries offers mature Crape Myrtle trees that have been nurtured by our nursery professionals. These trees usually take on a vase shape with shiny, bright green leaves. They are drought-tolerant once established and combine well with other plants in any landscape or garden. Feel free to plant Crape Myrtles as smaller trees for privacy, as shade trees, as well as for instant beauty and curb appeal.

It is easy to see why Crape Myrtle is such a popular plant for dry climates and many landscape styles and uses. You can plant attractive Crape Myrtle trees at any time of the year, with only annual to occasional maintenance required.

Fun Fact: Crape Myrtle trees are often mistakenly referred to as Crepe Myrtle trees. They received this misconception due to the fact that wrinkly flower petals closely resemble crepe paper. Additionally, we have nothing against the delightful French cuisine, but Lagerstroemia trees share no association with the tasty crepe.

Moon Valley Nurseries' Crape Myrtle specimens offer mildew resistance and year-round color and beauty - perfect for Southwestern landscapes and sure to be a colorful addition to any garden and landscape design. Stop by your local Moon Valley Nurseries to see our massive selection of Crape Myrtle trees for sale.

Our nursery pros are happy to help you select the perfect trees for your landscape. All our trees, palms, hedges, plants, and cacti are locally grown in our climate and soil to ensure an easy and successful transition to your yard.

Our professional planting crews make sure your trees and plants are ready to thrive, and we guarantee everything we plant for you! From our farms to your yard, nobody does it better! For the best trees on Earth, go straight to the Moon!

Every time a plant is watered, the soil should be thoroughly saturated to a depth of at least 2 to 3 feet and at least as wide as a tree well. Very slow and deep watering is always recommended. During periods of extreme heat, we advise at least 1 additional time per week of watering for all varieties. For periods of heavy rain (1/2” or more) adjust accordingly by possibly skipping a watering session for that time.

I had a Natchez crape myrtle planted in my front yard, and I fell in love with it! It has such beautiful blooms on it and is thriving with my Moon Juice. I will definitely be going back to finish my landscape!

We had Moon Valley plant five of these in different colors last may and after a little over a year with them I have got to say wow! They add so much color to our property. It's amazing. We get tons of pink, red, white, and purple flowers almost the entire summer! And in the fall, oh man. The fall color on these trees is jaw-dropping! My wife and I feel like we actually have seasons at our home because of our Crape Myrtle trees!!! The pros at Moon Valley really know what they're doing, we recently fertilized our trees with their Moon Dust and the difference in the blooms and leaves we got was astounding. Do yourself and your home a favor and have Moon Valley plant a few of these. You won't be sorry! I know I'm not!!

I have 3 different colors of Crape Myrtle planted by Moon and they are amazing. These trees give some nice shade and are the talk of the neighborhood. Everyone asks us about them! The flowers seem to bloom forever and just keep coming. I couldn't be more pleased with these new trees and high recommend them!

We had Moon plant 5 of these around our backyard this summer. These trees are so pretty! They've bloomed for weeks now with pink, red, purple, and white! They almost act as filtered shade trees to, they block out a lot of the western sun the blast our backyard, making bearable to actually sit out and enjoy the summer nights. The crew was professional and cleaned up very well. The trees have done great and we've been using the Moon fertilizers too.
